Hemoglobins

Helena can meet all your needs for identifying hemoglobin variants, taking full advantage of the automated sample application separation and staining of the SPIFE Nexus electrophoresis system. Both alkaline and acid methods are available.

SPIFE Nexus Alkaline Hemoglobin

The SPIFE Nexus Alkaline Hb assay allows automated separation of HbA, F, S and C from pre-prepared hemolysates, creating a framework to compare other hemoglobin variants. Separations are crisp and clear and use of acid blue stain provides excellent sensitivity and linearity. Twenty samples can be separated per gel.

Kit includes: 10 gels, SPIFE Nexus Blue stain, Hemolysate Reagent, Citric Acid Destain, Blotter C, Serrated Blade Applicator Kit

SPIFE Nexus Acid Hemoglobin

SPIFE Nexus Acid Hemoglobin provides automated testing from pre-prepared hemolysates in an acidic environment to further characterize hemoglobinopathies with similar alkaline electrophoretic mobilities. The use of acid blue stain brings linearity not available with O-Tolidine or O-Dianisidine based systems. Up to 20 samples can be separated per gel and are stable in storage.
