Technical Service Specialist

Experience: IT and LIS (laboratory information systems) experience and general high comfort level with computer systems, technology and equipment interfaces preferred.

General Job Description Summary: Reports to and receives assignments, instructions and direction from the Technical Services Manager and/or appointed designee. Responsibilities include answering phones and emails, communicating with customers to provide scientific support assistance, interact with customers regarding company products, processing, documenting and facilitating product replacement as necessary, troubleshoot software and procedural problems, assist with interpretation of results for a broad spectrum of electrophoresis, POC and coagulation assays. Perform phlebotomy for scheduled blood draws and on an as needed basis. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required PPE.  Performs various other duties and activities as directed by the Technical Services Manager and/or appointed designee.  Must meet all elements of the Helena Standards Pertaining to All Jobs, Job Classification Standards – Job Requirements Matrix and General Job Requirements.

Education / Training: MLT (ASCP) or MT preferred. Will consider BS in Chemistry or Biology with clinical/laboratory experience. Must be certified to perform phlebotomy in the State of Texas.

Research Associate - Hemostasis

Opening Date: January 22, 2026

Work Hours: Mon & Wed 7:00 am - 4:00 pm; Tues, Thu, Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Experience: Basic lab skills, blood specimen collection, and Microsoft experience preferred.

General Job Description Summary: Reports to and receives assignments, instructions and direction from the R&D Hemostasis Supervisor and/or R&D Director. Responsible for running diagnostic tests, general lab and instrument maintenance, research bench work related to Hemostasis, lab documentation and technical services support. Phlebotomy duties are on an as needed basis when requested by R&D and Technical Services. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required PPE. Performs various other duties and activities as directed by the Company Vice President. Must meet all elements of the Helena Standards Pertaining to All Jobs, Job Classification Standards – Job Requirements Matrix and General Job Requirements.

Education / Training: College Degree in Chemistry or Biology is preferred. Must be certified to perform phlebotomy in the State of Texas.

Research Associate - Quality Control

Experience: Laboratory experience preferred.

General Job Description Summary: Reports to and receives assignments, instructions and direction from quality Control Supervisor and/or Quality Control Manager. Performs testing utilizing standard/specialized equipment. Follow established protocols designed for testing. Performs various clean-up and housekeeping duties. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required PPE. Performs various other duties and activities as directed by the Supervisor and/or Manager. Must meet all elements of the Helena Standards Pertaining to All Jobs, Job Classification Standards – Job Requirements Matrix and General Job Requirements.

Education / Training: Two years college in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Medical Lab Assistant or related field.
