High Resolution Protein Electrophoresis

High Resolution Protein Electrophoresis

High Resolution electrophoresis is the method of choice for detecting monoclonal immunoglobulins in serum and urine. By using high resolution agarose gel electrophoresis, 15 or so proteins can be visualized in serum. The superior resolution and sensitivity separates and detects proteins with similar electrophoretic mobilities and those present in low concentrations that may be invisible on other methods. High resolution electrophoresis is excellent for evaluating urine proteins. Glomerular and tubular-like proteinurias, mixed glomerular-tubular patterns, and various overflow patterns can be distinguished and characterized, providing useful information on specific functions of the nephron.

SPIFE High Resolution Protein Kit

Cat. No. / Item / Description

3430 –  SPIFE SPE Hi Res - 20 Kit – 10 x 20 samples/gel

Kits include: 10 Gels, Acid Violet Stain, Blotters, Applicator Blades.

High Resolution Protein Marker

Cat. No. / Item / Description

5141 –  High Resolution Protein Marker – 1 x 0.2 mL

For use as a qualitative marker with the SPIFE and TITAN GEL systems, the marker simulates oligoclonal banding in CSF and serum. This provides assurance that the necessary degree of resolution has been achieved, and offers a visual reference for differentiating oligoclonal bands. The marker is a stabilized liquid prepared from human serum.
